About GCC
Our mission, vision, and values represent the meaning and purpose behind our calling as a church body. We believe GCC is one part of the larger body of the big "C" church.

Values
Relational:
God is relational - he wants to be in relationship with us. Jesus modeled being in relationship with his disciples and friends. Discipling others depends on relationship. So we focus on building and maintaining relationships through which people find God, disciple and are discipled, and the Church grows. (John 15:15, James 4:8, 1 John 4:19, Leviticus 26:12)
Creative:
God is creative (Genesis 1) - he made each of us unique, with gifts and talents (Mark 12:31) that we can use to bless him and others. We focus on creativity because it opens doors, brings about new relationships and new ways to care, and lets us do things in new and better ways and explore more of God's creation.
Care:
God cares about each of us and all of us. We focus on care because we love people - Christians and non-Christians alike. Jesus says to love our neighbor as ourself (Mark 12:31) and to feed the hungry and provide for the poor and help the sick (Matthew 25:35-36). Scripture points to care over and over and over, and we believe that growing a church without deeply caring about the people in it and affected by it is a shitty thing to do.
